I've been trying to upgrade the firmware in my UK 2007 A5 When I load up cd1 from the 55.7.0 set (4L0 998 961), and attempt the first step of the upgrade from 4690 to 5150 I get an error. Unvollstandige Metadaten fur EEPROM-Update der MMI (V3.1.1d.2b.8.2b.c.2, CRC 0x3de98e4b) Andere CD Verwenden which translates to Incomplete metadata for EEPROM update the MMI (V3.1.1d.2b.8.2b.c.2, CRC 0x3de98e4b) Other CD Use Has anyone successfully upgraded from 4690 in their A5 with this CD set? Looks like I might need to upgrade to an older firmware before I can do this update. Anyone know which one, and where I can get hold of the disk? It is the EU version. So I believe I need the 8K0 998 961? Zuken e3 series 2017 crack. Am I on the right track here.

Too bad none of the Audi Service companies here have any idea of the updates. At least they dont want to comment or do anything unless my MMI is really broken.

Folks, Picked up 8K0 998 961 this morning from Lincoln Audi and paid £6.50 inc VAT. I've now ran the update with no issues, after confirming I should run the second CD twice! My heart skipped a beat when, after I had 5170 loaded, there was no phone connectivity! All sorted by running the disc again. A quick drive out whilst updating CD3, gave me 5570 without a problem. All in, I'd say it took about 75 minutes or so to complete, some of that time I had my engine running.

A constant power feed is required, so once one disc had completed, I turned off the engine and ran off battery. To make sure the battery didn't run flat (causing the unit to brick), I attached my car battery solar charger to the terminals in the bonnet to maintain a trickle charge whilst updating.

Can't say I've noticed much to be honest. If I was being super sensitive, the bass on the B+O MAY be deeper, but I've got to listen to the stereo a lot longet to discern any difference. I neither lost the battery meter, oil level, tilting mirror or bluetooth memory by doing this. Perhaps I was lucky! All I can see is that the directory on my phone may need reimporting. Good luck if you decide to do this cheap update, but I wouldn't confirm it was absolutely necessary from what I've witnessed so far. A couple of photos- Uploaded with Uploaded with.
