I am having the same problem. Frankly this device is the biggest piece of crap I have ever bought. I have an up-to-date Mac and reinstalled all the drivers and changed USB cables but printing every single time is a chore.

I have spent 25 years in the printer business with Lexmark and HP and this product is garbage. I am going to be requesting my money back because every time my family wants to print I have to jump through hoops to get a single page printed. Of course it is never easy to find someone live to speak with at HP anymore. They use employee volunteers to provide support in these forums. Totally furstrated. I hope someone has figured this out already.
